INTEGRITY – WITH GOD (THE WHOLE STUDY)

BE SURE TO LOOK TO THE LORD TO OPEN THESE TRUTHS OF HIS TO YOU…

“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:9-10).

_____

The Study Divisions

What we want to take from this study is the Lord’s very high value of integrity. And how integrity is intimately connected to all areas of the Christian Faith and practice

PART I – The value that the Lord places on integrity. Integrity being honesty in the purest sense of the word. The use of the word ‘uprightness’ to indicate the need to be consistent in one’s integrity. The most important act of integrity being that of one’s personal response to the Lord.

PART II – The child of God who deals with their God with integrity will not be trying to see how far they can push their independence with their Father. Nor will they be focused on living the spiritual life with the Lord according to their preference. They will be passionately motivated to learn what their Father requires of them as His children. And so, like Christ will be going in a different direction than where the masses of people around them are going.

In this second Integrity subject we want to see, from God’s Word, how that when our personal response to the Lord is one of integrity, that He will guide us, by His Spirit, through the Scriptures, to know that there is only one truth in the mind of God. And therefore there is only one Truth revealed in the Scriptures for the Church. That each person must, with that understanding, pursue to be led by the Holy Spirit to learn, and live, that one truth for the Church that the Word of God reveals.

PART III – It must be said right from the beginning that there is no magic formula to quickly discover God’s Truth. It takes a life dedicated to the Lord, and to the discovery, and obedient response of God’s Truth as we discover it for ourselves.

The Outline of this mini series of studies will be along the following lines:

  • The Bible is perfectly accurate
  • God’s Truth is in the Bible only
  • The Bible must be taken literally, except where it says otherwise
  • The dispensational divisions of Scripture must be understood
  • The Holy Spirit has been commissioned by the Lord to lead us to discover His Truth.
  • It takes honest, responsible reading, studying and meditating on God’s Word, with the goal of not simply trying to understand what we find there, but asking the Lord to guide us into His Truth.

Our daily studies will be introducing a number of very large subjects and often will need additional study to properly examine that which is only introduced by the morning studies. I will be making addition, more extensive materials available for more thorough examination of the subjects that we cover.

PART IV – Out of the three primary enemies that the Lord warns and teaches us about, our flesh is most certainly by far the most dangerous to the child of God. That doesn’t mean though that the world and satan aren’t enemies that we need to know about, and know what type of opposition they pose to our spiritual lives with our Father. As you will see they both pose a very serious threat to every child of God. And, very importantly, they both pose a serious threat because of our sinful flesh. It’s their way in to oppose the work and leading of the Holy Spirit in our spiritual lives with our Father. But they are only a threat when we are walking after the flesh instead of after the Spirit.
